About us:

ASL Law Ltd is an ABS firm in its infancy looking to grow and expand. We are a credit hire and personal Injury practice with a demonstrable track record of success and a consistent record of profitable growth.

Job Purpose:

Handle mix of pre-litigated and litigated Credit Hire and a Personal Injury fast track and intermediate track caseload of approximately 150-160 matters. The Fee earner will be expected to manage some OIC and MOJ matters with the aim to effectively value them and progress them to litigation.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage mixed caseload of OIC/MOJ & Part 7 claims Manage some Property damage claims including vehicle related losses Ensure case management system is accurate and information is kept up to date Support, mentor and coach team members as required Provide excellent service to clients at all times in line with core values Negotiate solutions to clients' issues Draft documents which are legally effective and accurately reflect the client's instructions Plan, manage and progress legal cases and transactions Establish and maintain effective and professional relations with clients and colleagues alike Keep, use and maintain accurate, complete and clear records at all times Initiate, plan, prioritise and manage workload to ensure timely completion to required standard Participate in training and development activities as required Maintain level of competence and legal knowledge needed to practice effectively At all times, act honestly and with integrity in accordance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the SRA Handbook and Code of Conduct Work to targets/deadlines
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

Up to 5 years of experience with good working knowledge of Personal Injury law including handling Post May 2021 claims. 2 years experience of litigation; Experience of using a case management system Fast-track and Intermediate track experience Claimant experience Ability to work within limits of own competence and seek guidance and support where needed Ability to apply understanding, critical thinking and analysis to solve problems Highly organised and efficient with good time management skills Flexible and willing to travel as required Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written
Desirable:

Serious/catastrophic injury experience Full clean driving licence and own vehicle

Pay: 31,000.00-35,000.00 per year
