About the Role



As a Rug Delivery Driver & Installer at The Rug Company, you'll be the final, vital link between our brand and our customers, delivering and installing the rugs they love directly into beautiful homes and similar settings. Working as part of a friendly two-person team, you'll provide outstanding experience that reflects our high standards and exceptional service.

This is a full-time role based at our warehouse in Acton, Northwest London, reporting to our Head of Warehouse & Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:



Act as a professional ambassador for The Rug Company, always delivering exceptional customer service -- this will remain your highest priority. Ensure health and safety standards are upheld. Load the day's deliveries with the warehouse team. Wrap, unwrap, roll, pack, and prepare rugs for delivery or shipment. Catalogue and store merchandise in the appropriate warehouse locations. Check rug quality and report any defects to the Senior Warehouse Assistant. Vacuum, steam, and clean handmade rugs as needed. Update the IT system with daily bookings and assist with stocktakes. Operate industrial machinery safely. Prepare UPS shipments and support ad hoc warehouse tasks. Handle installations with care, efficiency, and attention to detail. Show respect for customers' homes and adapt to any unexpected situations. Stay informed about new products to support your work. Maintain general warehouse organization and cleanliness.

Key Skills and Qualifications:



2 years' experience delivering and installing goods into homes or similar settings. Full, clean driving licence. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physically fit and comfortable handling large items (e.g., rugs, furniture). Punctual, dependable, and team oriented. Eager to learn -- rug installation training will be provided. Great team player. Punctual and reliable.

Salary and Benefits for this role:

Schedule



7.5-hour shift. Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime Holidays - 25 days per year (including close-down between Christmas and New Year).
