Dale Farm Cooperative is a UK dairy farmer co-operative owned by over 1200 dairy farmers who supply us with fresh milk. United Feeds is part of the Dale Farm Group and one of Northern Ireland's largest feed companies with manufacturing facilities in Belfast and Dungannon. The company has continued to grow its market share within the ruminant animal feeds sector through its technical expertise and quality product range.





As part of the company's ambitious growth plans, United Feeds now wish to recruit for the following key position within our Nutrition team based at Northern Road, Belfast:





Ruminant Feeds Formulator / Nutritionist



Reporting to the Ruminant Products Manager, the Feeds Formulator / Nutritionist will primarily be responsible for ruminant feed formulations and providing nutritional advice and support to both customers and the advisory team to consolidate existing business and develop new accounts.





Main responsibilities will include:

Product formulation and set up Creation and upkeep of labelling according to latest legislation Utilising computer software programmes to formulate diets, assess performance, generate reports and feedback Providing customer support and problem solving Contribute towards new product development and trials Liaising with the Quality Manager to maintain quality standards Liaising with Raw Material & Production Managers Assist in the production of technical bulletins and product information publications




Candidate Requirements

3rd level qualification in an animal science, animal nutrition or agricultural related discipline Sound understanding of ruminant nutrition Strong knowledge of UK / Ireland ruminant production systems Computer literate with strong IT skills An innovative team player Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential Highly motivated with an attention to detail Excellent communication skills Valid driving licence
