Job Description

Stone Lodge Academy, Ipswich 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year - Permanent Salary: 26,409 - 28,624 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience) Actual Salary: 19,691 - 21,343 per annum
Stone Lodge is a specialist provision supporting children and young people with complex moderate learning difficulties, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We have a strong culture of safeguarding, wellbeing, and collaborative support, ensuring that every student is safe and able to thrive.

We are seeking a dedicated safeguarding professional with experience in safeguarding, excellent communication skills, and strong record-keeping abilities to join our team.

In this role, you will identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, liaise with external agencies such as social services or the police, and provide support for students during safeguarding investigations. You will also work closely with families, helping to ensure studentswelfare and supporting positive behaviour.

You will monitor Children in Care, Young Adult Carers, and students with additional vulnerabilities, ensuring risks are clearly understood and managed. Working alongside teachers and senior leaders, you will coordinate resources and support relating to safeguarding, PREVENT, and wider student welfare, including housing and financial guidance when needed.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of ASD and safeguarding practices, who can build trusting, supportive relationships with students. Key responsibilities include conducting one-to-one sessions, supporting EHCP reviews, maintaining accurate and detailed records, and contributing to a safe, nurturing environment where students can grow and succeed.
