To proactively patrol our client's infrastructure to deter and detect antisocial behavior, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our client's customers and staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be customer-facing providing high-profile level of reassurance, reducing and preventing unauthorized access to the railway and ticketless travel.
Assist in the prevention and detection of crime and antisocial behaviour through proactive tasking deployments across the route, supporting hot spot locations.
Proactive enforcement of railway byelaws through physical intervention skills where applicable
Provide a clearly identifiable and visible security presence for passengers on trains and on stations.
Update daily log and activity sheets.
Assist our client's staff in times of disruption ensuring customer needs are addressed.
Carry out reactive security checks, following the HOT and WHAT protocols.
Deliver meaningful crime prevention measures in an interactive and friendly manner in conjunction with British Transport Police.
Reduce ticketless travel through ejecting ticketless passengers when assisting at Revenue Protection Operations
Assist with crowd control as required
Attend briefings with British Transport Police for Intelligence sharing purpose (RSAS only).

PATROL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identification of suspect packages, people, vehicles or anything else that appears strange for that location;
HOT protocol to be followed in relation to suspect packages;
WHAT protocol to be followed in relation to suspect people;
Dispersing groups of individuals causing a nuisance;
Enforcing no smoking (including vaping and e- cigarettes) at all stations;
Appropriately managing individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol in line with the assignment instructions;
Appropriately managing a situation arising from a young/vulnerable person being found in a Station without a responsible person.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
To comply with health & safety instructions and directives issued within our client's Safety Manual.
To use the appropriate safety equipment properly and to wear Personal Protective Equipment where applicable and report any loss.
To refrain from the willful misuse or interference with anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare.
To refrain from any action that might endanger themselves, other employees, customers or members of the public.
To report immediately any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as possible and always within 24 hours. This should include both personal injury and vehicle damage.
To be aware of your personal security and the security of your vehicle or place of work.
To comply with all company policies including the Safety and Environmental Policy Statements and Drugs and Alcohol Policy.
To be aware of the fire and emergency arrangements for my location and each location responsible for or visited.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
You can demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
You take a pro-active approach and attitude to all tasks, responding promptly and in compliance with all required health & safety regulations.
You can work as part of a team, whilst demonstrating initiative and ability to work independently when required.
LICENCES:
Possession of a Door Supervisor licence is essential.
