This is a full-time, permanent position based on our single-site in Cheadle, offering a meaningful opportunity to lead safeguarding initiatives and support vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead complex safeguarding casework for children, young people, and adults at risk, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and carers. Prioritize safeguarding by effectively evaluating risk and protective factors to manage cases safely. Develop and deliver projects and initiatives to enhance safeguarding knowledge among staff and service users. Provide support, training, and guidance to staff, families, and carers to promote best safeguarding practices. Work closely with the Head of Safeguarding to implement the Safeguarding Development and Improvement plan. Uphold Social Work England Professional Standards with integrity and professionalism. Mentor and support social work students on placement to foster future talent in safeguarding and social care.

What You'll Need:



A professional Social Work qualification (Degree or DipSW) - essential. Proven experience in safeguarding within social care, education, or health settings, with knowledge of relevant legislation. Strong track record in safeguarding casework involving children, adults at risk, and their families. Experience with Mental Capacity Act 2005 assessments and best interest procedures. Knowledge of statutory safeguarding procedures for children and adults, supported by CPD or relevant qualifications. Ability to manage complex cases efficiently and engage effectively with multidisciplinary professionals. Excellent relationship-building and high-standard decision-making skills. Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
