Torus Group is looking for a dedicated and proactive
Enforcement Officer
to join our Safer Estates Team. In this vital role, you'll help implement and uphold our policies on Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB), Harassment, Hate Crime, and other tenancy breaches across our housing stock. You'll take the lead in managing serious and persistent ASB cases, particularly where early interventions have not succeeded, and legal enforcement may be required to protect our residents and communities. Working closely with our Neighbourhood Teams, you'll provide expert advice, ensure effective case management, gather accurate evidence, and identify cases that require escalation for legal action.
What You'll Be Doing:
Work collaboratively with internal teams and key external partners to deliver consistent, professional, and accessible tenancy compliance.
Proactively manage and respond to cases of anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and domestic abuse.
Support Neighbourhood Officers with housing-related nuisance and tenancy breaches, ensuring consistent practice and timely case referrals.
Assist colleagues in preparing and serving legal documents, including Notices.
Identify and advise on additional or alternative evidence sources to strengthen cases efficiently and appropriately.
Manage casework, including interviews, witness statements, liaison with legal advisors, court appearances, and accurate case recording.
Apply relevant legislation and legal remedies to complex cases, working with the team and Service Lead for effective outcomes.
Provide support and guidance to witnesses throughout investigations and court processes, including transport arrangements.
Liaise with and refer cases to external support agencies and mediation services as appropriate.
Build and maintain community links to ensure the company's approach to anti-social behaviour aligns with local expectations.
What We're Looking For:
GCSE level education, or equivalent, or demonstrable experience
CIH level 3 qualification, or willingness to complete
Up to date knowledge of national agenda and current policy issues in the housing sector and best practice in the field.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the relevant legal frameworks.
Excellent knowledge of industry best practice
Interview Process:
Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place w/c 10th November
