Our security and policing team is currently seeking a Safer Travel intern to assist in crafting long-term strategies for combatting all types of anti-social behaviour on the public transport network. This 12-month internship offers you the chance to enhance the passenger experience by collaborating with diverse teams across the Network Resilience directorate, dedicated to addressing disruption and anti-social behaviour year-round. Network Resilience, part of Transport for West Midlands, is a team of various transport specialisms, working closely with partners to develop a strategic response to minimise impact as well as an operational response to keep people moving.
This is a varied role where no two days will be the same. Whether you are conducting CCTV control room compliance, assisting transport safety officers, supporting the communications team, visiting schools/colleges, investigating anti-social behaviour incidents or supporting with social media content aimed at victims on public transport, you will play an integral role in keeping people safe on our transport network.
We need someone who is enthusiastic, a strong team player and keen to understand exactly how the organisation keeps the region moving and safe.
