To support on The Crown Estate (TCE) in the delivery of day to day health and safety across the regional portfolio. This will include, but is not limited to, assurance site visits to all sites while upholding the Savills Safety+ strategy and understand the clients H&S Safety First approach. The holder of this role will be able to step in and cover for the Safety First Lead as required.
This is a unique opportunity to work in direct collaboration with The Crown Estate who are a key strategic client. This role is essential to ensure that Savills can successfully deliver a best in class Health & Safety service and ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our many stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Be first point of contact for site teams on all matters of H&S and give assured advice, or escalate for assistance
Complete quarterly reports in line with TCE KPIs with support from the administration team
Investigate any accidents or incidents, and escalate if required, to the Safety First Lead
Support the administrator in ensuring compliance and actions are updated in a timely manner and to deadline and offer support and advice for the sites on a risk based approach
Undertake site visits and audits to give assurance that H&S, fire safety, security and environmental measures are in place
Undertake new staff inductions for Savills teams working on site
Monitor training and report back on progress
Assist site teams to develop event management plans for high risk events and approve all site events that are medium or high risk, escalating for support if required
Promote the safety first culture at every opportunity and assist in the delivery of the Savills Safety+ and The Crown Estates Safety First strategy across the portfolio
Monitor and audit contractor management on sites and support with projects
Undertake occupier demise inspections on retail parks to assist the Regional Facilities Manager
Support the delivery of two health, safety and wellbeing events every year (or as the client requests)
Assist in the delivery of the H&S consultants visits and attend when necessary ensuring the site teams are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities
Communicate to the centre teams and surveying teams on matters that require actions etc.
Deputise for the Safety First Lead as required
Assist with the delivery of fire safety compliance across the managed portfolio with the support of the dedicated Savills fire safety team

Individual Performance Evaluation Criteria
Hold client relationships with TCE
Implement Safety+ standards throughout the TCE portfolio
Assist with the implementation of strong communication channels with TCE on key risk items such as incident management or action findings
Ensure Safety First visibility at a site level
Ensure sites understand both TCE and Savills Safety+ strategy and requirements
Ensure a quick reaction to incidents and non-compliance, assisting site teams to mitigate risk
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent diploma level qualification or working towards
Excellent Customer service and client management skills
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Experience of places where large crowds gather such as shopping centres, airports, railway stations, events venues etc.
Excellent communication skills
Good presentation skills
Understanding of fire safety legislation and fire strategies particularly in a retail environment would be advantageous
Working Hours - 9.00-5.30 Monday to Friday
