Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations regarding workplace safety

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices
- Familiarity with conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and delivering safety training
- First aid certification is required
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field is preferred
