About the role

We're seeking a highly experienced, proactive, and dynamic Safety, Security, and Service Manager to join our dedicated team. This critical role will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of safety, security, and exceptional service delivery across all our live event productions. You'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive strategies that mitigate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, enhance attendee experience, and safeguard our reputation.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead Safety & Security:

Develop and implement cutting-edge safety and security strategies for diverse live events, from festivals to sporting spectacles.

Enhance Attendee Experience:

Drive exceptional service delivery and optimize crowd management to ensure memorable and positive experiences for all attendees.

Strategic Project Oversight:

Integrate robust risk management, compliance, and innovation across all project phases, contributing to flawless execution.

Team Leadership & Development:

Inspire and empower teams, fostering a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Liaise with authorities, emergency services, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.





About you

Applicants should have:




A proven track record in a senior safety, security, or operations role within the live events industry, specifically with experience in festivals, sporting events, large-scale public events, or mass participation events. In-depth knowledge of UK health and safety legislation pertinent to events (e.g., Health and Safety at Work Act, CDM Regulations, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations). Be able to demonstrate where they have implemented customer service improvements in fan/customer/visitor experience, whilst promoting safety and/or security. Strong understanding of The Purple Guide (or equivalent national guidance) and its practical application. Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing comprehensive Event Safety Management Plans (ESMPs). Expertise in conducting thorough risk assessments and developing effective mitigation strategies. Proven ability to manage and lead large teams, including direct staff and contractors. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of stakeholders, including emergency services, local authorities, clients, and contractors. Calm and decisive under pressure, with excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Google Workspace, Airtable). A willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by event schedules.

What we're looking for

Essential:




NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent recognised qualification).

Highly Desirable:




* Relevant security qualifications (e.g., SIA Licence - Door Supervisor/Close Protection, knowledge of counter-terrorism principles).
