About the Company - Scorpio Safety Systems Ltd is a company based in Wallyford, East Lothian. Established in 1990, we are a specialist Height Safety & Access company operating in the Fall Protection/Height Safety Industry, supplying, installing & inspecting a wide range of Fall Protection & Access Equipment.

About the Job - Due to continued growth, Scorpio Safety Systems Ltd is looking for Fall Protection Site Operatives to join our team. The successful applicant will be working as part of a 2-person on-site team, installing & inspecting a wide range of fall protection & access equipment. The role will involve dealing with clients face-to-face, planning on-site works to efficient & safe working practices & the completion of job reports to a high standard. The role will be on-site with job locations covering all of Scotland & Northern England.

Responsibilities:

Installation, testing & inspect fall protection & access equipment Communicate with management on on-site Health & Safety To be familiar with the test procedures for each component/system Accurate completion of relevant paperwork regarding site visits, remedial works & installations Ensure RAMS are understood & followed Reporting of any on-site issues to management Safely operate MEWPS and other access equipment on-site To have an understanding of the current regulations & standards Maintain a good working relationship with team members Assist with reporting failures & repairs on inspected equipment Correlate all information back to the office including access & potential sales leads Deal politely with clients both face-to-face and on the phone

Essential Requirements of Position:

Full Driving License Flexibility for overnight stays Physically fit & confident at working at heights Team player, cooperative, interested in further development. Ability to communicate at all levels. Ability and willingness to travel. Self-motivated individual, able to work on own initiative.

Preferred knowledge but not essential:

IPAF Qualification PASMA Qualification Asbestos Awareness Understanding of the current regulations & standards Experience of installation & inspection of fall protection equipment CSCS Qualification
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Starting Salary: 13 - 14.50 per hour (dependent on experience). Reviewed after 6 months then annually thereafter.
