WHAT IS THE ROLE?

ION is recruiting a

Sage Intacct Trainer

who is passionate about helping people build confidence with technology and achieve success through learning. You'll guide clients through the training phase of their financial transformation journey, ensuring they understand, adopt, and feel empowered by the system.

This role is ideal for someone who loves working with people, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in creating engaging, meaningful learning experiences. You'll work closely with our Project Managers, Consultants, and Customer Success Team to deliver high-quality, client-focused training sessions and contribute to the continuous improvement of ION's training materials and methodologies.

The role is based in our Newcastle upon Tyne office, with hybrid working available (minimum 3 days per week in the office).

WHAT WILL I DO?

Deliver engaging, tailored Sage Intacct training sessions to clients across the education sector, both remotely and in person. Support clients throughout the onboarding and transformation journey, ensuring they feel confident using their new financial management system. Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients by providing expert advice, empathy, and clear communication. Identify knowledge gaps during training and adjust sessions dynamically to meet participant needs. Collaborate with Project Managers and Consultants to align training content with project objectives and timelines. Create and update training materials, including guides and videos to continually improve ION's training offering. Contribute to the development of ION's Education Academy -- our client learning hub -- by creating new resources and interactive learning modules. Gather client feedback and use insights to refine training approaches and improve overall customer satisfaction. Act as a key point of contact post-training, providing support and guidance to ensure successful user adoption.

EXPERIENCE

Strong background in delivering software or system training -- ideally within finance, SaaS, or ERP environments. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences. Confident working with clients across different levels of seniority, from finance officers to CFOs. Strong organisational and time management skills, able to manage multiple clients and sessions simultaneously. Experience creating engaging learning materials or e-learning content is highly desirable. A positive, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping people succeed. Familiarity with Sage Intacct, other financial systems, or experience in the education sector would be advantageous but not essential -- full training provided.
