Hampshire Tile Warehouse Ltd are looking for enthusiastic and friendly sales people to join the team in our Aldershot

LONDON TILE

branded showroom & sales office (situated at the bottom of Government Road).

At LONDON TILE, we sell ceramic & porcelain tiles, and tiling products, to both the public & trade customers through our showrooms / trade counters as well as via e-commerce.

Therefore this role involves both face to face trade counter / showroom serving, plus office-based processing of customer enquiries by phone, e-mail, & via our on-line live chat communicator.

This job would be ideal for someone with retail experience, however, this is not a necessity as full training will be given. A positive attitude, outgoing personality and good communication skills are far more important & will enable you to fit in well with our small and friendly sales team.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

Helping retail customers with design & product questions. Serving retail & trade customers. Answering telephone and e-mail enquiries. Answering queries on our e-chat service. Processing orders using our sales software.
This role is more about the person, rather than the qualifications. We are looking for a person with:

Pleasant & friendly personality. An outgoing "people" person who likes communicating / engaging with others. Enthusiastic "can do" attitude. Good common sense & initiative. An active interest in home design / decorating. A reasonable level of literacy & numeracy.
The interview will include a basic literacy, numeracy & personality test.

Full retail selling & product training will be given to the right candidate.

The job is advertised as a: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, position, with the person working 6 days / 42.5 hours (incl. Saturday) one week, & then 4 days (Monday-Thursday ONLY / 32.5 hours) on the following week.

We would consider part time working, as long as the Saturday hours (below) are included (this is non negotiable).

Full Time Hours would be:

Monday-Thursday (every week) :

7.5 hours per day (excluding lunch break)

Friday (every 2nd week) :

6.5 hours (excluding lunch break)

Saturday

(every 2nd week)

: 6 hours

(Saturdays would be 9AM - 3PM, but weekday start / finish times would be discussed at interview stage, & within the boundaries of our showroom opening times 7:30am - 5pm, we can be accommodating)

The role offers a competitive retail salary.

The role also includes company pension & inclusion into our company sales bonus incentive.

Paid holiday is 25 days per year (plus all UK bank holidays).
