We assist the local community with anything from furniture and crockery hire to planning and producing full-scale weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, corporate events and more. We are seeking a commercially driven Sales & Client Support Executive to support the Director and play a key role in driving revenue growth across our event hire business.
Initially, the role will focus on handling and converting inbound enquiries, building quotes, and managing the client journey from first contact through to confirmed booking. Once the successful candidate has developed strong product knowledge and a clear understanding of our systems and operations, they will also be expected to carry out proactive outbound sales activity.
Outbound sales will include re-engaging previous clients, approaching event planners, venues, caterers, and corporate clients, and identifying new revenue opportunities aligned with the company's growth strategy.
This is a sales-first role, supported by essential office and order-processing responsibilities. It is suited to someone who enjoys speaking with clients, building relationships, and taking ownership of sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Sales & Enquiry Conversion
Manage inbound enquiries via phone and email, qualifying leads and converting them into confirmed bookings.
Build accurate, tailored quotes using the company booking system.
Proactively follow up on quotes, warm leads, and abandoned enquiries to maximise conversion rates.
Confidently upsell and cross-sell additional products and services to increase order value.
Maintain clear, professional communication throughout the sales process.
Outbound Sales & Business Development
Conduct outbound sales activity once familiar with the company's services, including:
Re-engaging previous and lapsed clients.
Contacting event planners, venues, caterers, and corporate clients.
Following structured outbound call and email campaigns.
Build and maintain a pipeline of outbound opportunities within the CRM.
Identify repeat business and long-term account opportunities.
Work closely with the Director to align outbound activity with wider business development goals.
Track outbound activity, outcomes, and conversion rates against agreed KPIs.
Client & Order Management
Process confirmed hire orders accurately, ensuring all event and logistical details are correct.
Maintain up-to-date client records, event details, and stock allocations within the CRM (HubSpot).
Prepare job sheets and handover documents for the operations team.
Support larger or higher-value accounts before handover to the Director or Development Manager where required.
Office & Commercial Support
Support invoicing, deposits, and basic credit control alongside the office team.
Assist with logistics coordination and internal scheduling where required.
Maintain organised digital records and support smooth internal workflows.
Skills & Experience
Experience in sales, internal sales, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles.
Confident and professional phone manner, with the ability to build rapport and handle objections.
Comfortable making outbound calls and following up leads.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Commercially minded with a proactive, results-driven approach.
Confident using CRM systems and quoting tools.
Experience in events, hire, hospitality, or service-based industries preferred but not essential.
