Custom Fronts
is a design-led kitchen brand creating beautifully crafted kitchen doors and other furniture to customise standard cabinetry. Rooted in Sussex and inspired by nature, our work is defined by a pared-back Scandinavian aesthetic and a focus on longevity, material honesty, and quiet design. We've been featured in The Sunday Times, Channel 4, Elle Decoration, The Modern House, Livingetc, and more.
As our business grows, we're looking for a full-time
Sales & Design Consultant
to guide new clients through their journey with us - from first enquiry to final order - combining clarity, warmth, and a sharp eye for detail.
This is a key front-facing role in a small, focused team. It's ideal for someone emotionally intelligent, practically minded, and commercially confident - someone who understands kitchens, appreciates good design, and brings both quiet authority and genuine enthusiasm to the client experience.
Your Role
You'll be the first person new clients speak to. Your job is to guide them - practically and aesthetically - through the Custom Fronts process, helping them feel informed, supported, and confident in their decisions.
Responsibilities include:
Responding to new enquiries via email, phone, and web form
Hosting consultations remotely and in person (Barcombe and occasional London days)
Reviewing client layouts and IKEA plans to inform quoting
Preparing accurate quotes and guiding clients through finish and layout combinations
Following up and supporting clients through to final confirmed order
Submitting orders to production and maintaining clear records in our CRM (ServiceM8)
You'll Be a Good Fit If You:
Have 2+ years' experience in sales, client service, or interiors
Are warm, articulate, and confident in client conversations
Understand kitchens - from layout and function to form and finish
Can read design plans and communicate clearly about dimensions and options
Appreciate beautiful materials and well-resolved design
Are proactive, organised, and independently motivated
Are comfortable with cloud-based tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, Gmail, etc.)
Want to grow within a purposeful, creative business
Salary & Benefits
Base salary plus monthly commission on closed sales
Realistic on-target earnings (OTE) of 45,000+ per year
Commission is structured and paid monthly
Wellness perk (regular massage, sauna, chiropractic etc)
Annual style or design allowance
Additional day off for your birthday
Travel costs covered for London showroom days
Flexibility to work from home on quieter admin days
Company-wide closure over Christmas and one week in August to support rest and rhythm
A friendly, design-and-make team working in a busy, purposeful workshop environment
Working Pattern
Full-time role, primarily based at our Barcombe studio
One Saturday morning per month, with a weekday off in lieu
Most appointments are during the day, though occasional evenings may be needed depending on client availability.
