Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales/Event Manager to oversee the planning and execution of various events. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organisational skills, strong communication abilities and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. This role requires a blend of creativity and practicality, ensuring that every event runs smoothly while maximising guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all aspects are managed effectively. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event. Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with guests, suppliers and venues. Implement upselling strategies to enhance event offerings and increase revenue. Supervise event staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support throughout the event process. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events. Handle guest services with professionalism, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Maintain detailed records of event logistics, including schedules, budgets and post-event evaluations. Foster relationships with local businesses and organisations for potential partnerships .

Requirements

Proven experience in event management or a related field is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively. Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written to liaise effectively with guests and suppliers. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Familiarity with restaurant or hotel operations can enhance understanding of event logistics.
