About the role
BMA House is the headquarters of the British Medical Association (the BMA) and is a stunning grade II listed building in the heart of Bloomsbury. This role is part of the venues and events team which are responsible for selling BMA House as an events space.
This new role will play a key part in growing BMA House as an events venue and improving its presence in different markets.
The main responsibilities for this role include:
To respond to incoming telephone and email enquiries from clients wishing to hold events at BMA House
To sell events at BMA House to drive up revenue
To undertake show rounds and upsell where possible
To liaise with service teams to plan events in a timely manner to the highest standard
To prepare deposits and final invoice and ensure clients pay on time
To work with the team to improve processes at BM
To be successful in the role you'll ideally have:
A background in hospitality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Time management skills in order to deal with the demands of tight deadlines and prioritise competing demands
Problem solving skills with an ability to negotiate
* Previous experience in an events planning or equivalent role would be beneficial
