JH Sales and Lettings is an independent, award winning, family run lettings and property management business based in Tottington, Bury.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic part time sales and lettings assistant for this varied role, to share our passion and to help us drive our business forward. We expect that hours will be worked over three days - 10.00am - 4.00pm - although flexibility will be an option for the right candidate.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the office general administrative duties, dealing with landlords and tenants to maintain an exceptional level of service.
Other duties will include:
Answering telephone and email enquiries from current and prospective clients
Dealing with clients in our offices
Loading new properties onto our systems and property portals
All administration relating to property particulars
Completing all administrative duties required for tenancy to include checking clients references, contract preparation, monitoring and controlling company systems etc.
Basic administration to include filing, photocopying etc.
Property viewing and tenancy visits
The Person:
We are looking for a loyal, hard working and driven individual who is capable of working on their own initiative. Confident, outgoing and friendly, you must have a good sense of humour and be wiling to develop and contribute to the development of other areas of our business. The ability to work within the offices at times alone is essential.
Previous experience within the property industry is not required, as full training will be given, but experience in a similar industry is required. However, the successful applicant must also have the following attributes:
A full clean driving license and their own vehicle (mileage allowance paid)
Ability to work under pressure and to multi-task
A minimum of two years experience of dealing directly with the general public
Be able to demonstrate excellent telephone communication skills
A high degree of competence with computer systems and have a speedy and accurate typing ability
The ability to manage your own workload and be pro-active in dealing with all day to day issues
This is a varied role and will involve the opportunity to visit and meet existing properties and clients of the business.
