With over 200 buildings, 5,000 stone ornaments and 100 furniture sets on display, we pride ourselves on offering customers an exceptional experience from the moment they step onto our 3?acre site.

We're now looking for a confident, motivated

Full?Time Sales & Maintenance Assistant

to join our friendly, proactive team in Farnham, Surrey.

This is a varied, hands?on role combining customer?focused sales with practical site maintenance. You'll spend much of your day outdoors, guiding customers around our extensive displays, understanding their needs, and helping them find the perfect garden building -- whatever the weather.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who genuinely enjoys talking to people and can communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally. You'll need strong common sense, a positive attitude, and the ability to build rapport quickly.

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

At least 2 years of retail or sales experience

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Neat, legible handwriting and the ability to write quickly and accurately

Confidence using technology, including tablets, as we introduce new digital systems

A strong work ethic and a proactive, can?do approach

The ability to learn and retain detailed product and technical information

Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner

Confidence in asking the right questions to understand customer needs

Attention to detail and pride in doing things properly

General maintenance ability and willingness to get hands?on

Physical strength to lift and move heavy items when required

This role suits someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is equally comfortable selling a premium product as they are carrying out small repairs or keeping the site looking its best.

Key Responsibilities

Welcoming customers and offering exceptional service Handling enquiries in person and over the phone Developing strong product knowledge across all building ranges Guiding customers through options and offering accurate technical advice Presenting, promoting, and selling products and services Producing detailed quotes and processing orders Handling cash and card payments Maintaining the showsite, including unpacking deliveries and placing stone displays Carrying out routine Health & Safety checks Performing general maintenance, small repairs, and groundskeeping Assisting customers with loading furniture and stone items Following up with customers who have received quotes Supporting the team with additional tasks as needed

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including English and Math at Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent

Working Pattern

Thursday to Monday

(Tues & Wed closed)

44 hours per week

during standard opening months

40 hours per week

during winter (Nov-Feb) Weekends and most Bank Holidays required (excluding Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day)

Wages

13.60 per hour - around 30,100 per year - with the opportunity to join our bonus scheme once eligible.
