Job Description

About Midstream

Join a company whose work you can actually see from the ground or the sky. Midstream Lighting designs and manufactures high-performance LED lighting for airports, ports, sports venues and major industrial sites worldwide. Our lighting keeps cargo moving at night, gives pilots perfect visibility and lets sport carry on long after sunset. We combine precision engineering with energy efficiency, so every installation saves power, cuts carbon and delivers better light.

We own the entire process, from survey and design through to manufacture, testing, delivery, and aftercare. Our products are designed for extreme conditions, including high winds, salt air, and scorching heat, and we back them for the long term. Innovation is constant, from optical design to smart controls, helping our clients stay ahead as standards rise.

This is a place where your work will be visible globally and where experienced engineers and commercially minded colleagues maintain high standards. You will collaborate with the wider business, gaining exposure to different teams and projects as you grow, and you will see projects through from first idea to the lights switching on. If you want to build infrastructure that works the first time, lasts and makes a global impact, this is the place to do it.

Requirements

We are looking for people who can help us win work and deliver it well. Your exact role and level will depend on your skills and interests, but we expect you to bring a strong commercial mindset, an operational focus and genuine technical curiosity.

On the commercial side, you should be able to engage with customers, understand their needs and help turn interest into firm commitments. That means confidence with proposals, tenders and building long-term relationships, as well as making sure promises are kept after the sale so clients stay satisfied.

Operationally, you will be skilled at turning plans into reality. This includes order processing, supply chain coordination, production scheduling and logistics, all with an emphasis on safety, quality and keeping every step on track. Strong follow-through and comfort with business systems and tidy data are key.

You also need to be genuinely tech-savvy. We utilise modern workplace tools, including Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint. You will need to learn and utilise ERP, CRM, and project-management platforms quickly. Confidence with data, from building reports to spotting patterns and improving processes, will set you apart.

Personally, you should communicate clearly, think in a structured way and stay calm under pressure. Strong organisation and curiosity to learn new sectors and tools matter more to us than ticking every box. We welcome people from sales support, account management, project coordination, logistics, engineering or other fields with strong organisational and commercial elements, and we will work with you during recruitment to shape the right position.
