Field Compost Ltd are a family run business producing high quality peat free composts, topsoils and mulch products.

We are currently recruiting for a Sales and Route Planning Co-ordinator to join our team.

This is a fast-paced role during our busy seasonal periods. You will need to organise your own workday whilst prioritising workloads and have excellent attention to detail.

The role

This role is predominantly answering our phone and email enquiries whilst advising on products to suit our customers individual and specific requirements.

You will also spend a lot of your day planning routes for our local crane lorry deliveries as well as researching addresses and accessibility for our nationwide pallet orders.

There will be other duties, such as liaising with production on current stock levels and managing our vehicle maintenance schedules. We are passionate about recycling where we can so you will be responsible for organising collections of plastic bags for recycling from our account customers and garden centres.

Essential skills and experience

Sales and customer service.

Strong communication skills with a confident, friendly telephone manner.

Good geographical knowledge of East Anglia and the UK.

Ability to prioritise, multitask, and thrive under pressure.

Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and CRM systems.

Preferred skills and experience

Horticulture / gardening.

Experience of route planning for multiple vehicles.

Compliance / driver CPC / licences.

Requirements

Positive and cheerful.

Good organiser.

Quick learner.

Team player.

Ability to use initiative / explore new opportunities.

Driving licence required, due to location.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 6.00am - 4.30pm

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
