We're looking for an individual to join our SME and Personal Lines team as a Sales and Service Consultant. In this role, you'll speak directly with customers, providing advice, outstanding service, and tailored insurance solutions. You'll be trained to understand our products in depth, allowing you to confidently match customers with the right cover while maximising sales opportunities.



Things you need to know:





This a permanent role We are based in Gloucester straight off the M5 bypass, there are local bus routes and parking. Our working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The starting salary is 24,000 - 27,000 (dependant on experience) with a discretionary bonus. We have a 4-week initial training programme and a dedicated training team to ensure you have all the support you need to be successful throughout continued training.



A bit about the job:





In this role you will be helping a variety of customers find insurance policies that meet their needs. You will speak to new and existing customers who have made an appointment to discuss their insurance (there is no cold calling!) and use your communication skills to build a rapport, gather the right information to understand their needs and help them find the right insurance policy, supporting them and providing excellent customer service along the way. You might need to balance multiple tasks at the same time, utilise a range of systems and will work in a dynamic, friendly, agile team.



Skills and experience we're looking for:



Previous call centre experience is not necessary. We provide full training which covers everything from our product range to our phone system. It's all very simple with the right training and support. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service, this means that you put the customer first and take pride in the quality of your work. We hire great people from lots of different backgrounds. From working in other insurance companies or in call centres before joining us, but lots of our colleagues join us from jobs within retail, hospitality, or sales and share our passion for helping people. Qualifications are not essential, but you will be able to perform basic maths tasks, use IT systems and have a keen eye for detail. You will need to enjoy speaking to people and will use your outstanding communication skills to speak openly and expertly on the phone to customers. You will be able to build strong rapport and take a genuine interest in their needs. Great team working skills, we work together to help our customers, share ideas to help each other and have lots of fun working together! You will be motivated by achieving sales and will combine that focus with the need to always do the right thing for our customers with a dedicated attitude combined with the highest degree of ethics and integrity in client focus.
