Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and personable Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting with product merchandising, and supporting sales initiatives. Fluency in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is highly desirable to effectively communicate with a diverse customer base. This role offers an engaging environment where organisational skills and strong communication are essential to success.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries confidently Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and maintaining stock levels Upsell products and services to maximise sales opportunities Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, ensuring proper phone etiquette during customer interactions Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within shift hours Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming store environment Assist in stock replenishment and inventory management as required Build rapport with customers through excellent communication skills and personalised service

Qualifications

Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or additional languages is advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Organised with excellent time management and organisational skills Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts Experience in merchandising or retail sales is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Demonstrated phone etiquette and customer service experience Ability to work well within a team and independently when needed Previous experience in upselling or promotional activities is a plus

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
