Overview

As we head into our busiest time of year, we're looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our shop team in Bourne on a temporary festive contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience retail at its most vibrant, helping our customers find the perfect gifts and enjoy a memorable shopping experience.

You'll be working Thursday to Sunday each week, from early October through to the end of December, supporting our teams during the festive peak. There may be occasions where you're asked to provide cover at our nearby shop in Stamford, so flexibility to travel between the two locations would be beneficial.

We're looking for someone who is genuinely customer-focused, with a positive, can-do attitude and who takes a real pride in delivering excellent service to both new and loyal customers. You'll be highly organised, punctual, and bring a natural enthusiasm for representing the Sophie Allport brand in everything you do.

Responsbilities

Greeting and talking to our new and loyal customers. Assisting our customers to find the products they are looking for. Answering queries from customers and providing excellent knowledge of our products. Making sure our store and products always look tidy and presentable. Help to re-stock shelves with merchandise and receiving and storing the delivery of stock. Being responsible for processing cash and card payments. Balancing the tills and cashing up. Remain informed on all relevant risk assessment and H&S measures in place. Adhere to all H&S policies relevant to their role and department.

Expereince & personal attributes

Previous retail experience or relevant experience working in a customer facing environment. Knowledge of till systems is an advantage. Confident in approaching customers and always ready to help. Organised and proactive in approach. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. A team player. Keen eye for detail. An interest in lifestyle, homewares and interiors is an advantage. The successful candidate must have Right to Work in the UK and live within commutable distance.
