Here, we proudly showcase our award-winning butchery, delicatessen, and hot food, alongside a carefully curated selection of produce from passionate Cumbrian food and drink artisans. Whether it's a regular customer popping in for their weekly shop or a new visitor discovering the best of local food, every day brings something different.

We're more than just a shop - we're part of the Brampton community! We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cranstons Team Member to join our friendly and supportive team.

This role is centred around working on the Butchery Counter with our small but mighty Butchery Team! It is the perfect role for someone who is passionate about good food, excellent customer service and an interest in food preparation.

What you will do:

As this role is mainly based across our Butchery Counter you will be involved with:

Serving and preparing items for our customers

Creating bespoke handcrafted products ready for our counter display

Assisting the Butcher with preparing cuts of meats

Packing and labelling raw meat products for customers

Helping customers with queries, helping them find what they are looking for, and offering personalised advice to offer a friendly and exciting shopping experience

Working and learning other departments to be able to provide whole team support when required

What you will need:

Experience in a customer facing role.

Flexibility to start an early shift between 6 - 7am

A proactive approach - spotting what needs doing and getting stuck in.

A positive attitude to changing priorities and teamwork.

A friendly and approachable communication style with colleagues and customers.

A passion for great food and excellent customer service.

Comfortable handling raw meat
