We are looking for a proactive and organised Sales assistant to join our team at Store First Burnley who are the leading provider of storage solutions. As the Sales Assistant, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our storage facility, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a secure, efficient, and profitable business environment. This role is ideal for an individual with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, who thrives in a dynamic and customer- focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Operations Management:



Assist the Facility Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the storage and communal space, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Ensure all customer transactions, including rentals, payments, and account updates, are processed accurately and promptly. Monitor and maintain facility cleanliness, security, and organisation. Coordinate storage unit availability and allocate space to customers based on their needs.

Customer Service:



Provide outstanding customer service by addressing enquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Offering customers with advice on moving items from their home to storage and all available services. Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally, aiming for a resolution that enhances customer satisfaction.

Operational Growth :



Implement sales strategies alongside the facility manager to increase occupancy and hit targets.

Security & Compliance:



Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards. Monitor security systems, including cameras, gates, and locks, to ensure the safety of customer's belongings. Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address any issues related to security, maintenance, or safety.

Inventory Management:



Oversee the management of consumables and merchandise, including packing materials, cleaning supplies etc. Ensure stock levels are maintained

Qualifications:



Proven experience within the storage sector. Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' experience within a customer service role. Ideally, a minimum of 3 years' sales experience within the storage/commercial / residential property industry. Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate team members Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and resolve conflicts effectively. Strong professional administrative skills Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office and knowledge of customer management software, or ability to learn new software systems.
