Responsibilities of a Sale Assistant / Buyer at Cash Converters

Your role will be interesting and varied, with you working between two roles within the store: Buyer and Seller -

As a Buyer, your role will be to:

Negotiate with customers bringing in their pre-owned goods into the store.
Purchase the products at a competitive price that are going to be profitable selling in the store.
Keep up-to-date with market trends.
Have the ability to understand our good buying philosophy and testing competence that demonstrates sound business sense to increase the margin and profitability of the store, whilst controlling costs, to ensure business targets are achieved.

As a Seller you will:

Provide a high standard of customer service at all times.
Resolve problems where possible and refer to the manager when appropriate.
Carry out effective in-store demonstrations to generate interest and achieve retail profit sales.

What we require from you for the Sales Assistant / Buyer role, you will have the following skills and experience:

Previous sales or buying experience is advantageous. Having worked in a Cash Converters or similar environment would be highly desirable and advantageous.

- Have an outgoing personality and enjoy interacting with customers

- Honest, trustworthy and reliable

- Excellent communication skills are essential

- Attention to detail and good time management skills

- Good PC skills

- Strong numerical and written capabilities

- A grounding in technology (phones, laptops etc.) is a big advantage

Full training will be provided in-store on our procedures and systems, as well as online training.

Wages

18-25 National Minimum Wage

25+ National Living Wage (based upon experience)
