We are seeking a proactive and personable Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation. This role involves engaging with customers on the phone, selling services, and ensuring a positive experience. This role may be on a reduced schedule initially during a probation period. The scheduled hours will increase once the candidate has completed their probation period and/or has shown great competence in training for the role. This role would suit somebody looking for a full time position of 40 hours per week (working days will be discussed). Potential for progression with the growth of the company.
Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service on the phone
Assist customers with their enquiries and make bookings to suit their needs, ensuring they are aware of the terms
Manage the diary and communicate with team members
Complete admin and bookkeeping tasks
Assist the directors with other tasks
Create social media posts
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary
Experience
Previous experience in customer service is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear verbal interaction and active listening
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Good organisational skills and time management to prioritise tasks efficiently
Professional phone etiquette and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for engaging with customers effectively
Well-written for emails and invoice descriptions
Knowledge of plumbing would be an advantage but not essential

Pay: 10.50-13.00 per hour
