Senior Sales Assistant - Full Time

WRU Store is looking to recruit a

Senior Sales Assistant

to join our retail team. The role covers the day-to-day operations of retail store, from greeting customers to keeping the stockroom organised.

We are seeking highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to work confidently both independently and as part of a team, collaborating closely with the rest of the retail team to ensure an excellent customer experience.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in retail is preferred but not essential.

Job Type:

Permanent.

Working Days:

Weekdays, including some weekends and occasional WRU and Cardiff Rugby game days.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Floor Supervision

Greeting and assisting customers Processing transactions using our till system Keeping the store clean, stocked, and presentable Overseeing the shop floor during busy hours and supporting junior staff Acting as a point of reference for the team and ensuring consistent store standards Working match days alongside temporary staff in a large-scale retail environment

Stock Management

Overseeing deliveries from suppliers Unpacking, checking in, and counting products Allocating space and organising stock within the stockroom Assisting with stock management, reporting discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records

General Store & Stockroom Operations

Maintaining safe and tidy work areas Supporting additional store-related tasks as required by the Store Manager

Person Specifications

Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service Minimum 2 years' experience in a retail or stock management role (preferred) Tech-savvy; confident using Microsoft Office and email systems Interest in working within the sports retail industry Strong teamwork and communication skills Flexible and reliable, with a positive work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 37.5 per week
