Saturday Job at Whalley Warm & Dry: Outdoor Clothing and Footwear Specialists.

We are looking to hire an outgoing individual with an interest in the outdoors who would be able to work Saturdays 9am-5pm (including 30 minute paid break). The job will initially be a 12 month contract with a possibility of a permanent role based on performance. Additional hours may also be offered during peak times of the year.

No prior knowledge of the outdoor industry is needed as training will be provided, however previous experience in a retail environment and/or experience in boot/shoe fitting are an advantage. An interest in the outdoors is also preferable, whether it be hiking, climbing or cycling.

The job will involve interaction with customers, helping with the different styles of clothing available and measuring feet to help with footwear. Due to the nature of our business and our impetus on excellent customer service, we are looking for a confident individual who will be willing to engage with our customers and build rapport. You will also be expected to help with the upkeep of the shop, including stock management, housekeeping and retail standards.

Starting Wage -

always above minimum wage

(will increase with performance & experience)
