showroom sales assistant
to join our
Colchester
sales team.
About the position
Working as part of our
Colchester
team, you will be a vital part of the showroom's success. In this role you will be a key part of a successful and motivated team, working in a dynamic environment.
The right candidate will be reliable and committed to long-term employment.
You will also be able to deliver a high level of
customer service
over the phone and in the showroom. Be
confident
in processing orders and dealing with queries from both customers and suppliers. Stock and warehouse management are also part of the job role. The position is a varied role which offers excellent

Main duties include:
Greet customers in the showroom and assist with initial queries.
Answer phone calls and emails, respond and direct as required.
Oversee the end-to-end sales process, providing advice and guidance to customers.
Processing orders and liaising with suppliers.
Liaise with customers to organise delivery and installation dates, quotations, servicing, and other general appointments
Promoting products and maximising sales.
Unpacking and sorting deliveries, this will include some manual handling and lifting.
Monitor the showroom, to make sure that shelves and displays are organised.
Other general duties as required.
Essential Skills:
Previous experience working within a sales or retail environment would be ideal however training will be provided.
A willingness to learn and understand the fireplace industry and products to best serve customers.
A friendly, approachable and 'can do' attitude
Strong proficiency with MS office applications, in particular MS word, Outlook and Excel.
Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail
Some heavy lifting required.
Additional information:
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 5pm.
20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
Christmas shutdown period, usually between 7-10 working days.
