At Douglas Willis, we have been providing excellent meat to the public for decades. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Assistant to join us in our family run shop based in Cwmbran Town Centre or Llanyravon. The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills and a passion for customer service. They should also be motivated working alone on tasks and as part of a team.

As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support.

Responsibilities

Assist on the shop floor, greeting customers and advising what products are available today. Accepting and unloading stock deliveries, making sure each delivery is accurate. Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries. Upsell additional products to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness within the shop and ensuring products are displayed attractively. Process transactions accurately using basic math's skills. Collaborate with team members to improve overall performance. Provide support in managing inventory levels and restocking as necessary. Work effectively in a busy retail environment. Show initiative to take on tasks and become a strong member of the team.

Skills

Strong ability to sell and promote products effectively. Previous experience in retail or food based sectors is desirable. Excellent phone etiquette for professional communication with customers. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic maths skills for processing transactions accurately.
