Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience through effective merchandising, upselling techniques, and maintaining an organised sales environment. Must hold a health and hygiene certificate.

Duties

Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and support throughout their shopping experience. Assist in merchandising products effectively to maximise visibility and sales potential. Utilise upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase overall sales. Maintain an organised and tidy sales area, ensuring that products are well-displayed and easily accessible. Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Perform basic mathematical calculations for transactions and inventory management. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English. Previous experience in retail or sales is an advantage but not essential. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts. Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly sales floor. Time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods. Experience in merchandising is beneficial. A friendly demeanour with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
