Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service. This role requires a proactive individual who can engage with customers effectively, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly as they enter the shop and provide assistance as needed Maintain knowledge of products and services to effectively answer customer inquiries ( Training Provided) Assist customers in locating items and making informed purchasing decisions Process transactions accurately at the till, ensuring a smooth checkout experience Keep the shop tidy and well-organised, restocking shelves as necessary Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction
Our working hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:00pm

Saturday opening times are 8:00am - 12:00pm you will be required to do at least two Saturday's a month these will be paid as overtime

We do not open on bank holidays but these are paid in full

We offer a 15minute break in the morning, 30 minutes at lunch and 15minutes in the afternoon.

Each year you will get 20days paid holiday which days taken at Christmas will be deducted from this as we are not open.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English Previous experience in retail or customer service is an advantage but not essential Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail A friendly and approachable demeanour, capable of engaging with diverse customers Have an understanding POS systems
