We are seeking a proactive and personable Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong customer-focused approach. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product information, and supporting sales through effective merchandising and upselling techniques. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist our diverse clientele. Responsibilities

Greeting customers warmly and offering assistance with their shopping experience Providing detailed product information and answering customer queries effectively Organising merchandise displays to optimise visual appeal and accessibility Upselling products and promoting special offers to maximise sales opportunities Maintaining excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls Managing time efficiently to ensure prompt service during busy periods Keeping the sales floor organised, clean, and well-stocked at all times Assisting with stock replenishment and inventory management as needed Supporting team members in achieving sales targets through collaborative efforts

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in English and Spanish, are advantageous Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Time management skills to prioritise duties effectively during shifts Knowledge of merchandising principles and upselling techniques is a plus Excellent phone etiquette and organisational skills are essential for maintaining professional interactions
