We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team In The Highlander, Fort William. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and maintaining an inviting store environment.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products. Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the till system. Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure the store is well-presented. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and organising displays. Upsell products by effectively communicating their benefits to customers. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within the working day. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor and stockroom. Adhere to phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries over the phone.

Qualifications

Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential. Bilingual or multilingual proficiency, particularly in English and Spanish, is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week
