Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are a small family owned independent mens retail store within Glasgow City Centre with our focus on streetwear and outdoor brands such as Patagonia and Carhartt. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and assisting with their purchasing needs. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about sales, possesses excellent customer service skills, and is eager to contribute to a positive shopping experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales expertise within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs Provide detailed product information and answer customer inquiries effectively Support sales transactions by operating cash registers and processing payments accurately Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and well-stocked to enhance the shopping experience Assist in visual merchandising and display setup to attract customer attention Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and ensure excellent customer service standards Work independently and provide a warm inviting shopping experience for our customers.

Experience

Prior experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse customers Basic understanding of sales techniques and a passion for helping others Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to assisting customers
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.60 per hour
