As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, assisting with sales transactions, and ensuring that our store is well-organised and inviting.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Engage with customers to understand their preferences and provide tailored recommendations. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, restocking shelves as necessary. Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy. Utilise basic maths skills to manage cash handling and provide change accurately. Demonstrate effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy periods. Uphold phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential; multilingual or bilingual candidates are highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers confidently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change. A positive attitude towards upselling products to enhance the shopping experience. Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment is an advantage but not mandatory.
