We are looking for outgoing and customer focused people to join our fantastic team. This shop is exciting and engaging and and the ideal candidate would reflect this image. Strong communication skills are essential as well as the ability to learn about our fantastic products and relay the information to our customers, whilst being able to offer advice and personal preferences. The role of sales assistants will be for 8+ hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. This will be to assist in store cover, and peak trading periods. Candidates must be available to work weekends and week days. The role includes two 4 hour shifts over 7 days trading.

Purpose of Role

The position of part time seasonal sales assistants in The Yorkshire Soap Company, a retail store like no other, is to welcome our customers and sell beautiful bath, body and gift products.

To maximise the number and value of sales by offering magical and exceptional customer service in line with The Yorkshire Soap Company customer service policy.

To maintain the high visual standards in the store and accept/process weekly deliveries.

To develop and grow into the future store management team members.

This role will include working on the till as well as conducting daily cleaning duties around the store.

Key Results Areas

Achieve exceptional service standards by approaching and informing customers of the products and services offered in the store. (training will be given over your first few weeks) Acquire in-depth knowledge of the current product ranges, services and stock availability and ensure that all products are correctly priced and merchandised by adhering to the company visual merchandising guidelines and standards. Capture customer data to add to the company data base in line with GDPR regulations. Maintain excellent housekeeping standards. Comply with all Company standards and guidelines. Regularly clean the store and the off-site areas. Make sure that every customer you serve feels that magic in everything we do.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Proven record of excellent customer service and selling skills is desirable. Previous experience of working within a team is desirable. A cosmetics background would be useful, but not essential.
