Sales Retail Assistant

to join our friendly team in our Kirkcaldy showroom.

What you'll do:

As a Sales Retail Assistant, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming showroom experience and delivering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting and assisting customers

, understanding their needs, and offering lighting advice for homes, offices, and commercial spaces

Showcasing a wide range of lighting products

, highlighting both style and functionality

Creating inspiring in-store displays

that bring lighting designs to life and help customers visualise how products will look in their own spaces

Processing sales

and managing orders accurately and efficiently

Maintaining showroom presentation

, ensuring displays are tidy, up to date, and visually appealing Building strong, lasting

relationships with customers

, suppliers, and colleagues Using IT systems such as

Intact IQ, Microsoft Office, Teams, and Outlook

to support daily operations and customer communications Supporting management with

stock management, merchandising, and promotional activity

Who you are:

We're looking for someone who combines great people skills with a passion for design and interiors. Ideally, you'll bring:

A

genuine interest in lighting, interiors, or home design

A

customer-first mindset

, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Previous showroom or retail sales experience

(non-essential, but this would be great - especially experience in interiors, furnishings, or home decor) Strong

attention to detail

and the ability to create appealing product displays Confidence in using IT systems to manage customer information and sales orders A

positive, proactive attitude

, with the ability to adapt in a busy retail environment Knowledge of electrical or lighting products (an advantage, but again not essential)
We are primarily looking for a

full-time team member

, however,

flexible part-time hours

may be considered for the right candidate.
