Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional service. As a Sales Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing them with product information, assisting with their purchases, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries and orders. Utilise basic maths skills to process transactions accurately. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales. Maintain an organised and tidy sales area to create an inviting atmosphere for customers. Manage time effectively to ensure all customers receive prompt attention. Communicate product features and benefits clearly to customers. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and reporting low stock levels. Provide support in training new staff members as needed. If bilingual or multilingual, assist Spanish-speaking customers or those who require language support.

Experience

Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus. A friendly disposition with a genuine interest in helping customers find the right products. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Pay: 8.00-11.49 per hour
