Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to engage with customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and providing exceptional service while assisting customers with their needs.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Utilise effective phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries and provide information about products. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain an organised sales floor, ensuring that products are well-displayed and stocked. Process transactions accurately and efficiently, using basic maths skills for cash handling. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations within the store. Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, striving for resolution and customer satisfaction. Assist in inventory management, including stock checks and replenishment of merchandise. Provide support in promotional activities and events as required.

Requirements

Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable, particularly in English and Spanish. Strong organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Previous experience in retail or sales is an advantage but not essential. A proactive attitude towards learning about products and enhancing selling techniques. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
