Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting customers with their purchases, providing product information, and contributing to the overall sales goals of the store. A multilingual ability, particularly in Spanish and English, is highly valued as it enhances our service to a diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide tailored assistance. Engage with customers to promote products and encourage upselling opportunities. Maintain an organised sales floor by restocking merchandise and ensuring displays are visually appealing. Handle customer inquiries via phone and in-person with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, ensuring basic maths skills are applied for cash handling. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Keep abreast of product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.

Requirements

Proven experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a customer-focused approach. Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately. A friendly demeanour with a passion for helping others and providing outstanding service.
