Overview

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Assistant located in Greater Manchester. It brings an exciting opportunity to join an already successful independent retail jewellers and pawnbrokers with an integral role in both aspects of the business.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers, managing sales transactions, and contributing to the overall success of our friendly and supportive work environment. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in selecting products and provide knowledgeable recommendations to enhance their shopping experience. Issuing pawnbroking loans to customers. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities and promote additional products. Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring that products are well-displayed and stocked. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer calls or inquiries.

Qualifications

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential; a willingness to learn is key. We will invest in you and pay for you to complete your jewellery diploma after your 6 month probationary period. Ability to engage customers through upselling techniques while maintaining a friendly demeanour. A proactive approach to problem-solving with the capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
