We are seeking a dynamic and personable Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service, supporting merchandising efforts, and driving sales. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide attentive assistance to enhance their experience Assist with product merchandising and ensuring displays are attractive. Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities Maintain effective communication with customers, addressing queries via phone or in person with professional etiquette Manage transactions accurately using the till system, including handling cash and card payments Organise stock levels and assist with inventory management Support the team in maintaining a clean and organised store environment Utilise organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods Demonstrate excellent time management to ensure all responsibilities are completed promptly Ability to log information and forward to the relevant members of staff to action The incentive to learn about the products we offer Ability and initiative to work on your own and as part of a team

Experience

Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided Proficiency in English is required Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for engaging with diverse customers Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Knowledge of merchandising principles and upselling techniques is beneficial Organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are crucial for success in this role Experience with phone etiquette and providing excellent customer support will be considered an asset

Pay: 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 24 per week
