Sales Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Sales Assistant to become an essential part of our Manchester showroom team. As the first point of contact for many of our customers, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional brand experience. You will support our Senior Sales Consultants, assist both trade and retail customers, and ensure the showroom represents the quality and innovation of the EcoBrite brand. The ideal candidate has a passion for design or technology and thrives in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities



Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience for all customers visiting the showroom. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the EcoBrite product catalogue to confidently advise customers on lighting solutions for their needs. Assist customers with product selection, providing information on features, benefits, and technical specifications. Support the sales team by preparing quotes, processing sales orders accurately, and handling transactions. Respond to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email in a timely and helpful manner. Ensure the showroom is kept to an immaculate standard, with displays looking their best and all lighting functioning correctly. Assist with stock management, including receiving new deliveries and maintaining appropriate stock levels on the showroom floor. Liaise effectively with the warehouse and sales team to ensure a smooth customer journey from inquiry to order fulfilment.

Qualifications



Required:



Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail, hospitality, or customer service. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine ability to build rapport with customers. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Must be reliable, punctual, and work well as part of a collaborative team. Proficient with basic IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, email).

Preferred:



A genuine interest in interior design, architecture, technology, or sustainability. Experience working in a showroom environment or selling high-value items (e.g., furniture, kitchens, electronics). Familiarity with a CRM or Point of Sale (POS) system.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 23,000.00-26,000.00 per year
