Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Cocoa cabana concession within Selfridges at the Trafford Centre in Manchester will sell a range of loose chocolates, bars, cakes, bakes and chocolate fruit. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and supporting the overall operations of our store.

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases. Packaging chocolates and selling to customers - ensuring the highest quality Setting up the cocoa cabana concession following clear guidelines ensuring our products always look outstanding Preparation of fruit for strawberry pots Preparation of chocolate covered strawberries ready for presentation and sale0 Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products, employing upselling techniques where appropriate. Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive shopping experience for customers. Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and conducting regular stock checks. Utilise basic maths skills to manage cash handling and provide accurate change to customers. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer queries over the phone or via other communication channels.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner. A proactive attitude towards learning new products and sales techniques.
