Overview

We are seeking a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Sales Assistant

Hours are flexible, must be available at weekends

The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and an interest in retail and individual fashion

Duties

Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products, providing knowledgeable recommendations. Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a personalised shopping experience. Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high standard of phone etiquette. Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising techniques. Support inventory management by restocking shelves and assisting with stocktaking as required. Upsell products by identifying opportunities to enhance customer purchases. Provide feedback on customer preferences to help inform product selection and promotional strategies.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Organisational skills to maintain an orderly sales area and manage inventory efficiently. Previous experience in retail or sales is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 7 per week
