Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Jewellery Sales Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to engage with customers. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires someone who is mature, organised, has good time management skills, and is capable of upselling products effectively. Any knowledge on Jewellery, Materials, Styles and Trends would give you an extra advantage but can also be taught as you work alongside other team members.

Duties

Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs while providing knowledgeable advice. Maintain a welcoming and friendly environment for all customers. Handle phone enquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale. Keep the sales floor organised and well-stocked, ensuring that displays are attractive and products are easily accessible. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities. Utilise basic maths skills for handling cash and processing payments. Assist with Jewellery repair administration Maintain and update Jewellery stock take Create marketing posts on multiple social media pages Maintain a clean and tidy shop environment, including hand-cleaning jewellery and collectable items to uphold high standards Organizing and maintaining files, both physical and digital, ensuring proper archiving and retrieval of documents.

Requirements

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience in a sales or customer service role is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. A positive attitude towards learning and adapting to new challenges. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Motivation to achieve business objectives and continued growth/improvement Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
